Time-Tested Design The 1GM10 uses the well-proven sleeveless design of the 1GM but with a great bore-piston diameter. This modification not only keeps it as the most compact, lightest sub-7kW inboard diesel engine but also puts it on plans for a wider range of boat designs.

Problem-free Starting Starting is either turn key via a 12V electric system, or manual: made effortless by a decompression system. There are two types of instrument panels available with simple plug in cable connectors. All other assets of the earlier 1GM reappear in the 1GM10 engine to make it an entry onto the boat scene that's bound to meet the approval of designers and owners.
This engine is available with Yanmar's double-seal saildrive unit. The saildrive version, designated 1GM10C, has a constant mesh dog clutch, geared at 2.64:1 forward and reverse.
